Kapelle
Kapelle, the fruit centre of Zeeland, is situated in South Beveland between the Eastern Scheldt and the Western Scheldt, and has Goes, Borsele and Reimerswaal as its neighbours. The characteristic fruit cultivation plots give the region a special, characteristic appearance in every season. The beautiful area further consists of meadows, orchards, salt marshes and mud flats. There are four places in Kapelle: Kapelle, Biezelinge, Wemeldinge and Schore. Kapelle and Biezelinge together form one village community with approximately 12,000 inhabitants.
Kapelle has excellent housing facilities with attractive zoning plans, a broad range of sports facilities, two camp sites and a marina. In addition, there are public libraries in Kapelle and Wemeldinge, and all the villages have a flourishing community life.
The A58 national trunk road, a railway line and the Canal through South Beveland all run through its territory. A business park, built for the establishment of new businesses, is situated on the A58
